Comment (by reneeotten):

 most likely updating {{{py-pylint}}} to its latest upstream version
 {{{py-pylint seems to have been updated (port version: 2.15.9, new
 version: 2.17.4)}}}
 would resolve that problem, but might then break Spyder because of its
 annoyingly restrictive versioning caps. I might be able to take a look at
 this at some point, but not likely in the near future.
