 I don't have much to add - Ryan covered every point, and provided a great
 amount of background - apart from posing a fundamental question:

 * Are you in the process of updating any specific port(s) - and/or
 creating new ones - where you're encountering challenges, due to our
 current Perl 5 approach? If so, can you elaborate on those specific
 challenges?

 Broader discussions are always good, to be sure. But it's also helpful to
 frame such discussion, relative to current work.
