Comment (by macportsraf):

 It was linking on 10.6.8 until I was confused into removing the makefile
 port group from the portfile. Putting it back fixes the linking.
 Hopefully, it also fixes the Rosetta for ppc problem linking with libpcre2
 and libmagic.
