 Testing on a friend's MacBook Air running Ventura Intel, tracemode appears
 to be broken. That even includes the extract phase, which dies similar to
 the following (MacPorts paths truncated with `...`, for readability):

 This was first brought up for port `hugin-app`, per issue:67294. But it
 doesn't appear to be a port-specific issue.
