 Bear in mind that `openimageio` is already updated to 2.4.12, for Big Sur
 and later. But it's pinned to 2.1.20 for 10.15 and earlier, due to the
 various dependencies involved. (And it's a foundational port for
 `blender`, which we're trying to continue supporting for older macOS
 releases.)

 Ultimately we may need to create a new port for the older version - and
 perhaps for one or more of its dependencies - to support `blender`. At
 that point, we'll be able to update to the latest release across-the-
 board.
