 the response is: "GPL-2+" is correct and they have
 [https://github.com/pciutils/pciutils/commit/6182921907ef3cc31be3394eb468b24bcd3955a8
 added] the SPDX identifiers to all source files.

 I opened [https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/pull/19152 PR#19152]
 to update to the latest version (not containing the above listed commit)
 and at the same time updated the {{{license}}} field.
