 This morning I Looked at every line of code the debug messages window is
 involved in. I still claim: the log messages sidebar does do nothing bad -
 and is never used as a parent of a window. Sherlock Holmes would now say
 that this is impossible as something clearly is different with that window
 so I have replaced all constructs I used there and that differ slightly
 from what I use in the other windows with constructs I use in the other
 windows. If that happens to help I still don't know why, though.
