 Since no one has provided a workaround yet for this, I have
 [https://trac.macports.org/ticket/67139#comment:2 posted one] for my
 particular issue with `ncdu`:

 # Make some coffee... this takes a while.
 git clone --single-branch https://github.com/macports/macports-ports.git
 cd macports-ports
 git checkout 6032b8aa0e865ddedc83b63bc662c7e5e091a909
 cd sysutils/ncdu
 port install
 }}}

 This will install version ncdu at 2.2.1 which uses the previous version of
 zig.

 Don't forget to exclude this when you upgrade:

 {{{
 port upgrade outdated and not ncdu
 }}}
