 Yes, that is happening.

 Tiger is very messy that way. It has always been a major PITA to support
 newer gccs on Tiger, which is why I have left it on gcc7 until now.

 By the way, upstream gcc has stopped all Tiger testing, although will
 still respond to tickets about it, for now.

 Tiger has no "@rpath" support, and lots of other headaches with the SDK.

 From time to time I rip through a bunch of fixes, and Evan drops by every
 once in a while for giggles, but otherwise it's struggling.
