Comment (by ryandesign):

 The log shows that for this port MacPorts has selected the C++ compiler
 /usr/bin/llvm-g++-4.2, which does use libstdc++, but there's no evidence
 in the log that that compiler has ever been invoked or that this port
 contains any C++ code so I'm not sure that's relevant.
