 merged with a revision increment to cause OpenSSH to rebuild relative to
 OpenSSL yesterday.

 I did roll back openssl11 and openssl3 to a version
 pre-[https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/pull/18879 PR] and tried
 to build from source and that also generated a crashing client. That is
 why I speculated that it could be the compiler.
