Comment (by ryandesign):

 There are no binaries of any port for Darwin 23 yet. All ports (that do
 not share archives between OS versions) will need to build from source on
 Darwin 23 at this time.

 Please try `sudo port -d selfupdate` and show us the output. Maybe it's
 failing to update your ports for some reason.

 If you see no errors in the selfupdate output, then please attach the
 main.log file from the failed build.
