Comment:

 We don't want to distribute software that does functions differently than
 the developers intended, and we don't want to carry around patches
 forever. File a bug with the developers of gdb. If they agree this is the
 correct fix and they commit it to their repository, we can add a patch to
 MacPorts until the next release.
