 Wait, there's no more CoreAudio support in PulseAudio? From what I see in
 the HB recipe they only make CoreAudio the built-in default.

 Logical, pavucontrol sees what pulseaudio provides...

 There's no port for that, or is there? I'm not aware whether it works on
 Mac. I know I mentioned it but that was just to show that PulseAudio has
 modules for the different sound backends.
 However, getting hiss is a first step to getting something a bit more
 meaningful.
