Comment (by OldSchoolAdm1n):

 In /opt/local/lib/hercules create a symlink to the module that you wish to
 load, IE:  @hdt3270  --->   hdt3270.so.

 Hercules will now load the symlink, which points to the actual module, and
 now will load it.  Repeat as necessary for your needs.
