entirely self-hosting.
I guess since it's mostly just the `mtree` command that I'd want a port
for, if file_cmds doesn't make sense to provide a port for, then we could
try porting one of the other `mtree`'s shipped with one of the other BSDs;
Ubuntu has a package called "mtree-netbsd", for example:
