 Apple doesn't [https://developer.apple.com/documentation/macos-release-
 notes/macos-14_4-release-notes#Known-Issues allow to kickstart coreaudiod]
 anymore on versions >= 14.4 ([https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-
 cask/issues/171570 via]). Installation works fine, but I had to reboot to
 make it work.

 So the port probably shouldn't try to kickstart on newer OS versions, and
 instead show a note that a reboot is needed.
