 Homebrew just installs the binary of MonitorControl available from its
 developers.

 MacPorts primarily builds software from source (and, having done so,
 offers the binaries that we built, when possible). We don't primarily
 repackage other people's binaries. If you want someone else's binaries,
 you can already get them from the developers. There's not really a benefit
 to making ports for third-party binaries, especially if they include an
 auto-updater, which MonitorControl does.

 It might be possible to write a port to build this software from source
 but it might not work well or at all. Modern macOS software often has to
 be signed and/or notarized by the developers to be permitted to access
 certain system functions that this app may require. You're probably better
 off cutting out the MacPorts middle-man and getting the software directly
 from the developers.
