 I tried {{{sudo port install harfbuzz +universal configure.compiler
 =macports-clang-17}}}.

 The problem seems to be in meson: {{{clang++: error: cannot use 'c++-cpp-
 output' output with multiple -arch options}}}.

 A build of harfbuzz (not universal) went through. I’ll attach two logs.
