 The fix only touched the patchfile, so yes, you would have continued to
 experience the error indefinitely, until you either ran `sudo port clean
 libvpx` or the libvpx portfile was updated for any other reason.

 This is why I consider it a good idea to modify the Portfile, even in an
 inconsequential way like a whitespace change, when changing a patchfile.
 When the Portfile changes, MacPorts cleans the work directory for you
 automatically.
