 For an effective report, I would want a good description of the problems
 of DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH, and linkage best practices for Mac.  My forays into
 Apple Developer documentation were hopeless.  They simply explained all
 the different possible schemes, without reference to best practices.
 Anecdotes on Developer forums and Stack Exchange don't cut it, unless they
 are extremely well written.  Can you point me to a good description?
