Comment:

 The `-export-symbols` flag was only being used because of a MacPorts
 patchfile that added it, in place of the `--version-script` flag that the
 macOS linker doesn't support.

 The port was updated to 6.4.0 and the patchfile was removed in
 [d4040f78f8647bbb651b411240e3703a91c8a779/macports-ports].

 As of version 6.0.2, tepl checks whether the linker supports `--version-
 script` before using it.
