 so either my cmake build is different than yours, or my libgcc14 build is
 different than yours it would appear.

 let's see if we can sort out which with this:

 presumably your cmake and libgcc14 builds should give you similar md5
 checksums to mine... this is on 10.5 PPC ... do yours match mine?
