 I know it does not build on 10.5 now, since I have also tried that
 earlier. Iain knows better re kernel, but another issue is probably Xcode
 gcc: despite Leopard one being nominally newer than that of pre-release
 Xcode 3.2, it lacks support for blocks completely, while 3.2 and later
 ones (up to 3.2.6) seem to support some minimal block syntax even for ppc
 (so the port builds on 10a190 and on 10.6.8).
 Potentially Plausible Blocks may work, but I am not gonna work on this
 myself, not until ppc64 is working in MacPorts at least.
