 Specifically, the init_notfound_str junk, probably, I haven't tested. I
 could never reproduce anyway.

 I did a quick test of these changes on MacOS 15 (just the
 '''notfound_str''' stuff in execute_cmd.c and locale.c) and it does appear
 to solve the problem.
