 Ken, it is pointless to refer to 10.6 buildbots, because MacPorts hacks
 10.6 on Intel, substituting clang-11 for the default compiler (and perhaps
 `as` as well?).
 Does this build for you on 10.5 ppc? If yes, then this is 10.6 ppc issue.
