 the build (on my 10.5 system anyway) was using
 {{{/opt/local/bin/libtool}}} for the libtool. Checked that as first guess
 for libtool failure.

 Actually, there's an idea -- someone could force the libtool in
 /usr/bin/libtool -- maybe that would work. I can't tell which one
 @barracuda is using in his log (but 99.99% chance he has libtool installed
 too).
