 NOTE: In the Debian package 'gcl', somehow the Debian package maintainer
 achieved the goal of building GCL in both ANSI and non-ANSI mode, and user
 can choose to start either mode with the same installed 'gcl' package. If
 the same effect can be achieved by MacPorts package, that would be best.
