 "uses x86_64 strip with i386 build" is not a cause of this problem that
 I've ever heard of. Instead, this could be caused by compiling with a
 newer clang but trying to use `strip` or other tools from Xcode; the
 solution would be to use updated versions of `strip` or other tools from
 the cctools port.
