Comment (by gitonthescene):

 I've added my main.log as an attachment.  The error seems to be
 ":info:configure configure: error: cannot compute sizeof (wchar_t)".  Some
 random googling points to a similar issue here:
 https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/5608 if that helps.
