 I re-invented the bicycle indeed, my patch is identical to
 [https://sourceforge.net/p/freeimage/patches/153/ patch 153] – aside of
 `OpenEXR` part, which addresses another failure (but should be
 uncontroversial, as it simply borrows from its upstream master).
