 That’s a weird issue. That launch daemon is automatically generated and
 really the simplest possible {{{startupitem}}}:
 https://github.com/macports/macports-
 ports/blob/9f4179bb590086063329e8c3409bf17ea9e57429/sysutils/clamav-
 server/Portfile#L52

 The {{{--pid=exec}}} should be passed to {{{daemondo}}}, not {{{sh}}}.

 What system are you on? I’d likely suggest bumping this question to the
 dev mailing list to find out why that simple {{{startupitem}}} doesn’t
 run.
