 Please do not confuse the issue here with the problems with using
 `-stdlib=libc++` - That is an entirely different issue.

 Currently gcc12 and gcc13 do *not* show the same issues as gcc14, when
 targetting the default GCC libstdc++

 When I said build gcc14 from source, I did not mean by hand. I just mean
 using the `-s` flag with port to force a build from source instead of
 using the binary installation tarballs.

 That said, you no longer need to do that check as I effectively did it
 myself.
