 That particular syntax error was easy to fix and I fixed a slew of other
 errors but there are just too many that are needlessly complicated due to
 the lack of (easily findable) proper documentation.

 I'm now going to see if the code still builds against sip 4.15.5 but I
 don't think it's going to be of much help knowing that unless we provide
 dedicated ports for sip, pyqt4 and thus also python itself.
