 What's the general form for versioned shared libraries on *BSD (or OpenBSD
 in particular)?

 My Linux port:sqlite3 (@3.41.0) installs libsqlite3.so.0.8.6, with symlink
 libsqlite3.so.0 as the SONAME.

 Porting a port to a different platform always requires checking for Mac-
 specific tweaks in the Portfile and any patchfiles.
