 After updating to macOS Sonoma and Xcode 15.4 compilation with gcc 13.2
 specifying flag -std=c99 fails with error

 It is reported

 that the issue has been corrected upstream and that the solution was
 included in version 13.3.0, released at the end of April, hence my request
 to update.
