 I think you'll find the legacy support flags in the compiler wrapper
 script
 (/opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_PPCSnowLeopardPorts_science_linhpsdr/linhpsdr/work/compwrap/cc/usr/bin/gcc-4.2).
