Comment (by andlabs):

 It appears that mpv-legacy builds without any audio devices by default
 (even with all the variants I set). Adding the `+coreaudio` variant fixed
 it for me. The cocoa deprecation warning is unrelated and is a holdover
 from prior versions of mpv.
