 when I run 'sudo port install xv' I end up with the error message
 Error: Requested variants "+python311" do not match those the build was
 started with: "+python39".
 Error: Please use the same variants again, or run 'port clean xorg-xcb-
 proto' first to remove the existing partially completed build.

 My default python (the python on my PATH) was python3.11. I changed it to
 python3.9 but I still got the same error message. I don't really know my
 way around python so I'm likely doing something dumb, in which case I
 could use advice on how to fix it. Thank you.
