Comment (by ryandesign):

 The binary of transmission 4.0.5_0 for x86_64 macOS 12 that I received
 from our packages server opened fine and did not complain about libiconv.

 Before receiving the binary that worked fine, I got this strange message:

 transmission is known to fail. Try to install anyway? [y/N]: y
 }}}
