 Opening a separate ticket for each port is not something I am able to do,
 espeically considering that the goal of this project wasn't really to
 import MacPorts--that's just a side-effect.

 Do you have any suggestions (other than opening 70+ tickets) on what to do
 with such information in the future? Post it on the mailing list? Abandon
 it?

 If there's interest in an updated status report after all the fixed that
 were made in the wake of this ticket, I'm happy to provide it. Let me
 know.
