 this ticket is very old, the latest version of {P{py27-scipy}}} is 1.23.1
 ; and I think quite a few changes to compilers have happened in the
 meantime. From the last comment that Ken made it seems likely that there
 was something wrong with your system.
 If you're still interested, please try installing the latest version; if
 you still have problems please open a new ticket.
