 I’m sure I added {{{--allow-newer}}} previously to address some build
 failure on a previous version that needed this to fix a dependency issue.

 @laleanor have you actually tested the {{{hlint}}} build to verify it
 works? Because it’s possible that it’s necessary to pin specific versions
 of specific dependencies, and tracking all that down is burdensome—it
 would be nice if it built simply without this flag.
