 It may be premature to deprecate `xerces3`.  There is an ongoing
 conversation about safety and upstream long term maintainership.

 And I have not seen an easy migration path for softwares like this one,
 that heavily depend on the former foundational `xerces3` for XML support.
 Further thoughts?
