New description:
I recently selfupdated to 2.10.2, and when I ran `port upgrade outdated`,
Macports would exit with an error while trying to build libgcc11. I'm
pretty sure I didn't need it or gcc11, so I removed both (`sudo port
uninstall libgcc11`, `sudo port uninstall gcc11`).
For some reason, sudo port upgrade outdated still tries to build and
install libgcc11.
Checking https://ports.macports.org/port/libgcc11/details/ shows that the
following packages depend on libgcc11:
* mpich-devel-gcc11
* mpich-gcc11
* openmpi-gcc11
* p5-locale-gettext
* gcc11
* libgcc10
I removed all of them and/or verified that none of them are installed on
my Mac.
However, despite removing dependent packages, sudo port upgrade outdated
still returns (after attempting to build libgcc11)
{{{
Error: Failed to build libgcc11: command execution failed
Error: See
/opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_macports_release_tarballs_ports_lang_gcc11/libgcc11/main.log
for details.
Error: Problem while installing libgcc11
Error: Follow https://guide.macports.org/#project.tickets if you believe
there is a bug.
}}}
What still requires libgcc11?
I will attach the main.log file noted in the error message.
