 simply removing {{{/Library/Developer/CommandLineTools}}} will cause a
 number of ports to be built with references hard-coded into Xcode.

 This will be a problem in the medium to longer term. GCC and other things
 will be build incorreclty.

 However, removing {{{/Library/Developer/CommandLineTools}}} and then
 reinstalling the Command Line Tools (I used the DMG, as did the other user
 above who found success) puts things into their ocrrect places and
 everything works.

 So that is a better solution, assuming it works for everyone.

 I haven't tried removing {{{/Library/Developer/CommandLineTools}}} and
 then reinstalling the CLTs using the xcode-select method. Perhaps it works
 as well. A user above said it didn't work for him, but there is some
 indication there of a mixup in versions.
