 Not sure what to do, I did the following

 $ sudo rm -rf /Library/Developers/CommandLineTools
 $ sudo softwareupdate --install 'Command Line Tools for Xcode-16.0'
 }}}

 Then I tried to install `tippecanoe` again, and this time it worked. This
 issue may be closed (not sure how to do it myself)
