 It would be nice to have a port of the Git Credential Manager,
 https://github.com/git-ecosystem/git-credential-manager . It is git
 credential helper which authenticates a git command line invocation to
 GitHub using Oauth. MIT licensed.

 The GitHub instructions at https://docs.github.com/en/get-started/getting-
 started-with-git/caching-your-github-credentials-in-git#git-credential-
 manager recommend installing it via Homebrew.

 MacPorts already includes git-credential-oauth , which does something
 similar, but is not the tool recommended by GitHub. CC: @herbygillot,
 maintainer of git-credential-oauth.
