 This seems very similar to #70460.  The important part of the log again
 seems to be

 I currently have py311-pythran @0.16.1_0 and py311-gast @0.6.0_0
 installed.

 I see the same issue with py310-scikit-image.  I can't attempt with py312
 -scikit-image because py312-scipy fails to build because of #70460.  Both
 {py311,py310}-scipy build just fine.
