 As possible sideline solutions, assuming you look for a functional video
 player and not specifically MPV, you could try either installing `QMPlay2`
 or VLC3 from this PR: https://github.com/macports/macports-
 ports/pull/23584 (sorry, no one bothers to merge it, I can’t help it).
